Sometimes the side roads lead to a more scenic route. Ultimately, they get you to your destination but give you more to think about along the way.

I’ve already hopped off the main path of my newest journey and found a side road that will open my mind and still get me to my final destination. I’ve enrolled in an online MBA program with the goal to keep learning, improve myself, and ultimately, improve my work.

After a personal skills evaluation, I found, as always, there is room for improvement. I’ve stuck to the marketing world for so long, I could use a little push to step outside that box and understand more of the businesses I work for and with. Pursuing my MBA, I’m setting a goal to more thoroughly understand the broader picture of a business. With a clearer picture, I’ll be more of an asset to those I work for and with.  (Plus, who doesn’t want to be able to put some extra letters after their name?!)
